Sidi Ameur  is a town in the  Tunisian Sahel located near Sahline, a few kilometers west of Monastir.

the name of this town comes from the zaouïa of Sidi Ameur El Mzoughi, a 15th century Muslim  man from Morocco He was known that he was a good man, with a lot of knowledges , and he have some divine abilities that  it make him able  to solve problems and obstacles

so he came to this town and He built a zaouia where people would come from everywhere to be blessed 

 Nowadays his  tomb attracts an annual pilgrimage of several thousand people, mostly from everywhere and The ceremonies,are organized during Eid el-Kebir, and with celebrations with religious and folk songs
